About Me

I’m someone that has made Seinfeld a staple of my life for over 35 years; first weekly, then in syndication daily from 11pm -12 midnight.  Now with streaming, I have found a rebirth for my love of the show.  I want to share my take on the story lines and characters as they navigate through their life about nothing, along the streets of the Upper West Side of Manhattan in the 90s, only to find themselves returning full circle and talking about that second button on a man’s shirt. Being about 10 years younger than the characters, I can relate to a lot of the situations they endured because after all, they are “…Children, not men” as Jerry once said. I also encourage comments from readers if they had similar experiences that Jerry and the gang had.

I do not lay claim for being a king of Seinfeld Trivia.  I will not know who was Jerry’s girlfriend in episode five, or remember what color shirt George was wearing when he met the Bubble Boy (actually a plaid shirt and sweater). I am going more for how their situations pertain to all of us in some way or another.  How we all can relate to what Jerry and friends are going through in their small, basically closed off world in one of the largest Cities in the world.  Speaking of Cities, having grown up in the Bronx I can relate to Jerry and George’s Queens/Brooklyn/Long Island upbringing (A little unclear but all Long Island if you want to be technical). Although not filmed in NYC, the show makes Manhattan an important element you cannot get if the show was to take place somewhere else.  Just knowing that the show was supposed to take place 30 minutes from my home gave me a bond I felt throughout the shows life.  I hope you enjoy my perspective on the show about nothing.
